Animal Hospital

Our animal hospital has a fully equipped theatre, which offers essential surgery and sterilisations undertaken by our team of qualified veterinarians.

Additional veterinary services are offered at our clinic, specifically for pets of underprivileged owners and pensioners who would otherwise not be able to afford veterinary care.

cat operationFrom simple health checks and vaccinations to severe illness, the clinic sisters deal with a diverse multitude of medical cases daily. Most animals are sent home with the necessary drugs and treatment; however, seriously ill animals are retained at the SPCA for further treatment.

Moving to the Springfield Park area has made this service more accessible and nearly 40 000 dogs and 14 000 cats were attended to during the past year.

All animals admitted to the SPCA pass through clinic to undergo a stringent health check to ensure that contagious and fatal diseases do not endanger the lives of other animals.
