From The Inspectorate

Report : Westville Prison Cat

A warder from Westville Prison contacted the Inspectorate to say that a black cat had been thrown from the fifth floor by an 18-year-old prisoner. The warder offered to bring the cat in to the SPCA. Witness statements were taken at the prison.Examination at the SPCA showed the cat had a broken leg and fractured pelvis. It had to be gently euthanased.

It was noticed that the cat was in milk, so Jacqui phoned the prison to ask them to find the kittens. There were four of the little creatures. A cat lover who had kittens at home took the little kittens in to provide the foster care they needed to survive. more reports »
