Sixteen pigeons had been stuffed into a kitbag at the beach front. The perpetrator had fed them to lure them to come to him and had thrust them one by one into a small bag which he then zipped closed. He was apprehended by a security company that then called the SPCA. Jacqui unzipped the bag. The pigeons were sweating so heavily that they were soaking wet. She photographed them and put them in a large box. The police arrived, and the suspect was arrested. The birds were subsequently examined by our vet and released.
