Report : Yacht Mole Incident

Two little Yorkies were left in a vehicle, and when Jacqui arrived there were no fewer than 15 policemen at the scene. Obviously several people had been perturbed enough to make phone calls. The owner arrived at the same time as the SPCA and had allegedly been away for over an hour.

There was much swearing and over-reaction. Jacqui brought the two tiny dogs to the SPCA so that they could be checked. The owner was fined R300 by the police for illegal parking so he won’t easily forget this incident.

Nothing like a fine for reinforcement, even though it was for a different reason! By the time the owner arrived at the SPCA to collect his pets, they had been examined, fed and watered. They were very frightened and still shaking, but otherwise fine. The owner was returning to Gauteng, so the dogs were released to him with a warning. .... more reports »
