Jacqui was called to a case of a dog crying in pain somewhere in the bushes of a house in this area. The owner was in the house. The dog was unable to walk and was battling to sit on the lower part of its spinal cord, with its legs splayed out in front.
The owner “meant to take it to the vet”. It was whimpering pitifully. Hearts must be hard to find such suffering so easy to ignore.

Jacqui demanded to know why they had left this poor creature in pain for so long… and why it was left outside in the bushes. The woman of the house said her husband “was in Johannesburg” and she had no transport… yet a phone call to the SPCA was all that was needed. There is no excuse for such blatant cruelty.
