A cute three-week-old baby lamb in prime condition was found wandering in the road in Glenwood and brought to the SPCA. The little creature lives on a farm in Estcourt, but had been orphaned and brought temporarily to a home in Glenwood to be nurtured and bottle-fed for a couple of weeks until it was strong enough to fend for itself.

It had somehow managed to escape from the garden. It is now happily back on the farm where it is has pet status. The lamb felt very much at home with a sweet-natured Border collie that had been found chained on a short extremely thick and heavy chain with heavy bolts attached to it and tied to a tree. Jacqui really fell in love with this intelligent, gentle animal. Happily it was soon adopted, by which time it looked quite different from when it had been rescued. .... more reports »
