Report : An unknown Good Samaritan does a good deed for Jacqui

Jacqui was doing a kennel round to assist Bruce and checking on all the animals. She noticed that her arm was red and that she couldn’t bend her elbow easily. She had to go to Durban North, so resisted Kevin’s suggestion that she have her arm checked out, but then found she couldn’t drive.

The infection was spreading rapidly up her arm, so she was obliged to go to the doctor and then to the chemist to purchase the antibiotics. The medication was so expensive that she told the chemist that she couldn’t afford it as her medical was running out and she had insufficient cash on her to pay for it. He said it was imperative, so she reluctantly took it and said she would be back the following day to pay.

When she returned the following day, she was told that she owed nothing, as a lady standing next to her had paid her bill! She had said to the dispenser: “I know the work that lady does… she does a wonderful job… I would like to pay for her medication.”

The following day Jacqui, having obtained the lady’s name and phone number, contacted her to return the money, but the offer was firmly refused. It’s really nice when good things happen to a good person. And really nice to know that there are still many kind people about in our society. .... more reports »
