Report : Razor wire tragedy

In this case, a ginger and white semi-feral cat was caught up in razor wire. Her head was thoroughly entwined, and her intestines were hanging out. Barbs were sticking into her flesh. A tranquilliser was given so that she could be cut out, but the barbs were so deep and so much internal damage had been done that she had to be put to sleep, and Jacqui mercifully euthanased her on the spot. Jacqui had spent almost the whole day trying to get her out, but she was just too shredded to survive. People do not realise how many animals are falling victim to vicious security spikes that now dominate in our residential areas. .... more reports »
