A little vervet was caught in a snare at Chatsworth. Five or six strands of wire were wound around her body. The inspectors tried to distract her with the net, but she bit at it in fear. Jacqui went behind and administered a mild tranquilliser and then snipped off the wires. The little creature was a bit sleepy by then and was taken to CROW where the rest of the snare was removed. She was medicated and will be released when recovered.... more reports »
