A black dog that had been well looked after was found to have calcification of the spine. It was a young dog, but there was no hope for it, and Dr Roos had to tell the owner that it would have to be euthanased. He was very upset as he had taken the dog to his vet where it had been X-rayed and sent home with arthritis medication, this venture having cost R1000.
