Cartridge Collection Program

Along the lines of our relationship with Mondi Recycling, we have recently started a joint project with “Mzanzi Office Recycling and Consumables” who manage a recycling program for empty ink and toner cartridges.  Our Society will receive monies for each cartridge donated to Mzanzi.  We encourage companies to contact Mzanzi, as unwanted cartridges can make a considerable difference to our organisation. Mzanzi can be reached on 0860 5700 00 or Durban 031 3096396/7.
More About Mzanzi………

Mzanzi is a South African company specialising in the collection of used empty ink toner cartridges.  Mzanzi is not a remanufacturer.  The cartridges are not sold for local remanufacture, but are exported to the USA, Europe and Asia.    Increasingly, regulatory pressure is being brought to bear on companies to be good corporate citizens.  This requires companies to be both Environmentally and Socially Responsible.  Through this collection program, Mzanzi is playing an active role in protecting the environment.

Mzanzi is extremely active in the promotion of environmental awareness.  Although many companies already take positive steps to recycle paper, aluminium cans and glass, far more hazardous materials such as printer cartridges are still thrown away.  Where cartridges are unable to be used for remanufacture, or recycled for the raw material content, Mzanzi ensures that they are professionally disposed of.  Through responsible recycling, a company can minimise its environmental footprint, ensuring the healthy survival of the environment for future generations.  ie. Plastic parts go to plastic recyclers, metal to metal recyclers, aluminium drums to aluminium recyclers.  Mzanzi believes the best form of recycling is re-using “Zero Landfill Concept”.
