Running for the dogs

A big thank you to the ten athletes who joined together as Team SPCA to run the inaugural FNB Durban 10 km City Surf Run for our furry orphans. They raised R28 250 in total for the animals in our care. To give you an idea of what that means, it’s enough to feed 14 dogs and 10 cats for two months . . . fill one of our Inspector’s van with enough petrol to keep them on the road for a month investigating over 200 reports of cruelty . . . and still have enough money left over to buy blankets to keep patients in our animal hospital warm and comfortable.

What a fantastic effort from these young animal lovers – thank you!
