Take a selfie with Madiba

Once again, the Lungelo Wax Museum has very kindly loaned us one of their statues of the world's greatest statesman. So you can remember your Mandela Day contribution to our SPCA with a unique photo.

All you have to do is visit our Springfield Park premises (cnr Inanda Road/Willowfield Crescent) any time on Thursday 18 July with your contribution of pet food or blankets for our fur babies. Or get your whole company involved in collecting bags, cans and sachets of dog and cat food for a team donation.

If you prefer, simply drop donations of cash into our Fido donation dog, who is also available for selfies!

While you're here, why not treat yourself to a cuppa and cake ... or a delicious hamburger fresh from the grill ... at our Coffee Cats cafe? And meet our yard cats, who are all available for sponsorship.

Night Market

From 5-8pm, you can enjoy a special night market at our SPCA, where you'll find stalls packed with wonderful bargains. Entrance fee is a bag of dog or cat food. If you'd like to have a stall at the market, please contact tanya@spcadbn.org.za for details. Regretfully, we are not able to accommodate hot food vendors, but vendors of sweet treats or baked goods are welcome – as well as clothing, jewellery, soft furnishings, decor – you name it!

If you really can't join us for Mandela Day, please consider making a donation online in lieu of your 67 minutes. It's all about getting involved and supporting your favourite cause!

Thank you for joining with your fellow Durbanites to continue Madiba's wonderful legacy of compassion and caring for those who cannot speak for themselves.
