Goodbye to Oogies and Rufus

Visitors to our charity shop will miss the familiar sight of the friendly tabby with the squinty eyes, usually curled up on the counter. Oogies was a real character, who made friends everywhere she went. But at age 12, her health deteriorated and she lost a lot of weight. Thank you to Oogies’ sponsors who helped provide for her needs all through the many happy years she spent at our SPCA.
Rufus is another one of our precious yard cats that passed away at the beginning of July. When he arrived at our SPCA, he was just a young cat. He liked to sit on people’s shoulders while they walked around and was a favourite with the patrons of Coffee Cats. He was 14 when we had to say goodbye and he will be sadly missed.
