Crisis update

We are incredibly blessed that our SPCA - in the midst of the hard hit Springfield Park area – has been left unscathed. Staff remained on the property day and night to make sure the animals were fed and cared for. Everyone is safe.

But the real crisis is yet to come.

Our dogs and cats need food, and that could soon be in very short supply. Plus - as soon as we reopen, we're going to be flooded with hundreds more dogs and cats surrendered by owners who can no longer afford to keep them.

With long queues outside supermarkets and pet shops, the shortage of fuel, and the ongoing volatility of the situation, we cannot ask you to drop pet food off at our premises. But we would be extremely grateful for financial donations of any amount, which can be used to order in bulk direct from our suppliers.

After the wanton destruction and devastation of the past few days, it would be easy to give up. But we can’t. Somehow we have to rise above it all and start rebuilding our lives - stronger and better. Whatever you do, please stay safe. Together, we will get through this.
